Hurumanu - The feet can measure the height.

THE FEET CAN MEASURE THE HEIGHT

The bones of the feet can tell a lot about a person. What do feet reveal about a person's height? Forensic anthropologists team up with law enforcers to help solve crimes.
Bones of the feet can reveal an interesting fact about an individual. Let's combine math with forensics to see how.

Aim:  To use forensic science techniques to measure the height of a criminal.

Material:

  1.  Human - Foot/height
  2. 1 metre Ruler

Steps:

  1.  Get a metre ruler
  2.  Measure the foot length
  3.  Measure you height
  4.  Record it on the chart
Findings:

Name
Foot  (cm)
Height (cm)
Chloe. M25cm1m & 62cm
Keghan24cm1m 50cm
Chloe. T21cm1m 44cm

Divide the length of each person's foot by his/her height. then multiply it by 100.

Record of the dividing and multiply:

Chloe . M: 15.4320987654
Keghan:
Chloe.T: 14.5833333333

Conclusion:

I had 25 cm for my foot and my height is 162cm. Im surprised. Keghan had 24cm for his foot he also had 150 cm for his height. Chloe.T had 21cm for, her foot whilst having 144cm for her height. We found these findings with a metre ruler.

Conclusion:

I didnt really know what type of fingerprints I had but I know that it was hard to tell. This experiment was really different for me as I never knew how to acctually do this and I also didnt know that its what the police do but without the ink. This was really fun.

Results:

Lifted fingerprints

Thumb print
Index finger print

Conclusion Questions:

What could you do to improve your results next time?
Do it propaly as it was hard to see what I had as to apose I have different Fingerprints
Why do you think fingerprints are useful to crime scene investigators?
They can really see who is the crimminal as if they dont find them they will still be out there
