Maths Interchange DLO

This week we have been learning to round decimal numbers. For me this was quit easy as I finished all of my activities on Monday and I just had to make a DLO. What type of DLO usage did I use?

Maths Interchange - Week 6

Today I made a DLO about solving an addition problem with high numbers. This took a while to solve but there are a few questions you guys could try and answer I chose one it was pretty easy to solve and hopefully you could try the same method as I just did.

Measurement

For our strand Maths we have been looking at measurement.

We have learnt that 1 metre equals 100 cm and that there are 1000 metres in a kilometre.

We have also learnt how to measure objects around our school.

The most challenging thing about measuring is to use the correct equipment.

The activity I enjoyed most was the Measurement because we get to measure something that we could reach outside.

My group measured the width of the cubby holes and it was 3 metres and 51 centimetres wide. This measurement can also be written as 3m and 51cm.

Time Travel

This week we have been learning about time travel. Our teacher Mr. Breach gave us two books per group. In my group I was with Matangi, Divontae, Mark Tyler and I. We used two chromebooks and 3 people trying to solve questions. Mark and I were on the chromebooks and was writing down what Divontae, Matangi and Tyler was solving.

We are learing to make animals out of shapes. Today I had made a reindeer. It was difficult to make it but in the end I made it. This is what it tured out like.

It was hard to figre out where the antlers go because it was long. I had some fun making this but also hard.

Fire works Challenge

We have been learning about fire works and how it happened. We had to do a fire works challenge on a slide show.We had to answer 8 questions and then put it on our blog.This was our last day to do our maths fireworks challange because we got told to finish it today. DLO Subtraction in parts

This week we have been learing to solve qustions by using a number line.We had at least 3 questions to do I got them all right.One of our questions was 77-39= we had to solve that with a number line.Watch this video to see how I did it.

Doubles and Halves Strategy

WALT: I am learing to make multipucaton problems easier by using doulbing and halving
In Maths I have been learing doulebing and halving.To Solve multiplication problems using this strategy.You must have a multerplucation problem to slove and if you have a 5 in it doulble it and if it is a even number you halve it.

Divison and Multiplication

In maths I have been learning Multiplication and division.I have learnt to solve Multiplication problems using my 5s and 10s.We had a problem to solve using our 5`s and 10`shere are some examples that I have already done.I hope you have enjoyed learing your divison and Multiplication .How about you trying some for yourself and once you hav ethe hang of it you can try and make it harder for you.

In Maths we have been learning about Symmetry.Reflective Symmetry is having mirror at the end of the shape and and on the mirror is the same side but it is on the mirror.We played The mirror Game and used shapes to create Reflective Symmetry.
