Tapu Ae


  • What is Tapu Ae?
Tapu Ae is a traditional Maori game

7 on each team
With the rippas, you can take one of which would be hand over
You can run with the ball
You have to stay in your 3rd of the court

Centre, Guardian, Sub
  • What did you enjoy the most about the game?
The team stuck with their partners
  • What were some of the drawbacks that you can think of?
Some people weren't throwing me the ball when I was free

Communicate with the whole team not just half of the team

Support your team mates when offside, Play by the rules, don't cheat, play fair, enjoy your role/game/player
What skills and attributes do you need to display/use?
Co - operation and Communication, with the communication you need to work well with your opponents
What is your role within your team? 
Manager
What does your role involve?
Supporting the team, organising games, raffles, other events, sending messages to the parents/players about things that they need, etc
How could you be a better team player?
Communicate with the other team, 
Play fairly, even if they cheat ( Sometimes I don't play fairly if they cheat )
Help others out more if their hurt/need some advice
