Where are my shoes???

Before I leave the house to go to school, my boots that aren’t that high,
I called them Lea and Mia. Mia is the right shoe and Lea is the left shoe. My boots are in the right place their together under my bed, but when I get home from school they are on the floor spread out with a pile of mess. What did they do and get up to????......

“Psst,” Mia said with a small tone. “Wake up”.

“Why???”, Lea questioned “Let me sleep”

“For goodness sake, Khloe's gone to school. That means we go shopping!”
“SHOPPING???? Well, what are you waiting for let's go!!!” Lea was excited that they were going shopping, she loves to shop.

“We are going to the hub. But how are we going to get there without humans seeing us?”

“Remember that Khloe has an underground in her closet under the carpet?! We can go under their just take the spare ph so we know where we are going.”

“Weelllllllllll, let's get going!” So off they went underground to get to the Hub.
They choose to go into a shop called… PaperPlus. Is there just Paper or something? Tell me I’ve always wanted to know! Anywho, They were fighting over what to get, as they only had $20 each. By the way, Leas the oldest so she was in charge of looking after the money and making sure they had enough. Mia wanted this bug TY as she is obsessed with them, It was $40. Lea got mad and she said,

“ We can’t buy this Mia, it's too much money. You would have to use up my $20 as well as its $40. That's not fair, find something that's smaller or else we go home!”

“Your mean Lea, I’m going to get this small one then that is $15.99. I would have $4 left and that is going to be for Khloe.”

“I have what I'm getting now let's buy it then go home.”

They went to the cashier, Mia got really grumpy and had a hissy fit because she didn’t get the big one. But she needs to realise that Lea isn’t made out of money and money doesn't grow on trees.

“This was your idea, Mia, to go to the mall, not mine, I only agreed to go”

They paid,

“Is this all for today?” Asked the Cashier

“Yes, Thank you”

“That will be $34.99”

“Heres $40 can I have just $4 and then you can keep the rest.”

“Sure thing”

“Thanks”

Colouring Competition - Community Impact Projects

Today, P1 we were talking about some colouring competitions. For some people, it makes them calm for colouring. 

I like colouring and Drawing. We decided that they should be for 5 -  15 yrs old. We discussed that we should hand them out to the Warehouse, Toyworld, Pak 'n' save as the customers when buying or looking at something when they go out or in they could pick up a colouring competition for their children. We are going to get the entries from South Hornby, Gilberthorpes, Hornby Primary, St Bernedates school. The competition would have to be in my 2 weeks. 

We could organize this by showing posters around the mall, on posts, and public places. This would give people a good idea that we are doing a colouring competition. I decided that I was going to do it about the pollution and Rubbish that is around our environment. 

We could ask for SHS, Gilberthorpes, HPS, St Bernedates for help as well as I'm assuming they have amazing ideas.

I would like some feedback on making sense and ideas for the colouring, please.

Dance Group

This Term we have been doing some dancing with Miss Birtch. Our Dance group performed last week in junior assembly. Unfortunately, I was not there to perform as I was away, but it looked like they had lots of fun. Dancing as a passion is very unique for me as I love dancing to some really interesting songs and songs I like. Miss Birtch has worked really hard with us to get us at this stage that we are at. Miss Birtch recorded us dancing.

Maths Interchange - Week 6

Today I made a DLO about solving an addition problem with high numbers. This took a while to solve but there are a few questions you guys could try and answer I chose one it was pretty easy to solve and hopefully you could try the same method as I just did.

Boomerang - Show Kindness

Today we watched the Ripple. We watched it because we know that if we are kind to others they show their kindness back. I love to show kindness as if you give it to somebody else then they show it to others which would probably make a chain.

In the video there was a little girl the little girl wanted to have a few things, but she also wanted to help her grandpa and buy him a cake for his birthday. They got to the checkout and they couldn't buy the cake as it was over their budget and they couldn't afford it. Then the guy who helped the little girl  get the cake down he saw that they couldn't afford it so he did an amazing thing where he brought the cake. Their grandma said that he didn't have to and they didn't want to take it as it was an amazing thing to do. She asked why he did it... here's his story ( its pretty the same as this one ).

It was his birthday and his mum was going to buy him a cake she went to see how much money she had and she didn't have much. This elderly guy saw that his mum couldn't afford it so he bought the cake and he gave it to the man. His mum asked for his address as she said that she was going to pay the money back once she had enough, instead of writing his address he wrote a message, on the piece of paper, I think it said,  A simple act of caring creates and endless ripper, that comes back to you.

I noticed that it was a chain as the grandpa helped the little kid with his mum and the little kid helped he family, if you do the same thing then you know that it will come back to you. The Kindness Boomerang was to show you that if you give kindness you get it back which will make a big difference to peoples lifes. He took notice by knowing what the elderly man did for him, and he showed the same thing to others and he said to the little girl to promise to do the same thing he did.

That video was amazing, they showed respect, kindness and hope. If you are giving kindness you'll get the same thing back. ;-)
