Beep Test

Today I'm going to tell you about my experience with the beep test

What is the beep test?

The beep test is where you run from one side to another and get to the line before the beep goes off. You will need some cones 20 metres apart from each other due to the beeps. The beeps become closer together between every level. There are 21 levels of the beep test.

To be honest I'm pretty bad I can only get up to level 5. I have done the beep test twice throughout this lesson. The first time I did the beep test I got to level 2 stage 3 or level 3 stage 2. I got to level 5 this time.

Before we start the beep test I get butterflies in my stomach as it is kinda overwhelming for me.

Have you done the beep test before?

Animation about kindness

Today for CIP we are learning to show kindness to others and you can help others, even smile it can spread the kindness around. If you don't know what I mean here is a link to the video... Link

Sometimes a smile can mean something big, a compliment and much more. Anything you say that is nice like, You look pretty today, or maybe can I help you. Things like that make a difference to others and make others feel good.

I made an animation about a girl who is showing kindness by complimenting people/objects have a look.....

How could you make a difference to help others?

Animation

Today I was learning to use Animaker to create an animation. My animation was going to be about a teacher teaching a class. I got the basics of how I was going to imagine how it was going to look and work. I didn't do that much about what I wanted, here's a screenshot of what I had so far whilst still thinking about what I would to next.

This game/app was actually fun to use, instead of using a recorder to record you can create your own story and be creative. This app is easy to use and can be fun when your bored.

Have you ever tried this app? Heres the link.....  Animaker Link

My Enviromental Issue - Pollution

Today I'm creating a blog post about my environmental issue. This issue is about pollution especially air pollution which is the worst for our world. The air pollution can be dangerous for some people that are pregnant. Sometimes Air pollution can affect animals as well if they are not careful. Pollution is very, very dangerous to humans and animals! BE CAREFUL. Also, I'm telling you to be careful because every year at least 9 million people die because of the pollution in Water, air and also the pollution in food ( Only sometimes in food )
What category does your issue fall under?

Social                     Environmental                   Ethical
What specifically is your issue (e.g. Global Warming, Pollution of NZ waterways, etc)

Pollution
Why is this issue important to you?
Because nobody understands that the sea animals are dying because they think that our rubbish is food and the turtles are getting their necks around bags etc...

Who/what does

Environmental  issue

affect?
There are four types of pollution, mobile sources such as cars, buses, planes, trains and trucks. There are also stationary sources like power plants and Factories. Are sources cities and wood burning fireplaces

In Wellington, you would have a fine up to $400 if you leave rubbish out

Trees give out oxygen and because of them, we have the rains. Less water will reduce the amount of harvest.

Question 1

What is the most common pollution in New Zealand?
New Zealand has a relatively unique greenhouse gas emissions profile. In 2007, agriculture contributed 48.2% of total emissions, energy (including transport); 43.2%, industry; 6.1%, waste; 2.4%.
In Auckland, only 8 pollution cases were brought before the courts in 2017/18
The most astonishing thing about cement is how much air pollution it produces. .... may reach $161, while the most commonly used Portland variety is $51, ... New Zealand, India, Europe and the Middle East who are extremely
Question 2

How was the pollution created?
Most of this air pollution we cause results from the burning of fossil fuels, such as coal, oil, natural gas, and gasoline to produce electricity and power our vehicles. Carbon dioxide (CO2) is a good indicator of how much fossil fuel is burned and how much of other pollutants are emitted as a result.
Pollution, we hear it every other day at school, college and read about it in newspapers. So what is it? Pollution occurs when pollutants contaminate the natural surroundings; which brings about changes that affect our normal lifestyles adversely. Pollutants are the key elements or components of pollution which are generally waste materials of different forms. Pollution disturbs our ecosystem and the balance in the environment. With modernization and development in our lives, pollution has reached its peak; giving rise to global warming and human illness.
It's a Major Major problem and they need to stop it.

Question 3

Can we work together to help our environment?

Use Environmentally Safe Products

Recycle Your Used Motor Oil and Filters

Compost Yard Trimmings

Report Illegal Dumping

Pick Up After Your Pets

Dispose of Trash Properly

Use Water-Based Paints

Recycle Everything You Can

Take Your Residential Special Materials to a City of Los Angeles S.A.F.E. Center

Don't LItter

Wash Your Car On The Lawn

Pollution can kill at least 9 million people a year and it also explains that we have pollution in food, air, water, etc

This video contains a baby pigeon and a giant seagull. The giant seagull snatches the baby pigeon and takes it away.

To get the message across I'm going to make an app which alerts people about the pollution that's around them and make sure that they stop it from spreading and get them to recycle their rubbish. To make this happen I'm going to use AppLab!

CIP - Comunity Imapct Projects

This term for Comunity Impact Projects we are learning to give kindness to others.

We also have different passions that others could do such as Ambassadors, Dance, Singing, Rugby Academy, Gym Sports, Health Leaders etc.

At CIP when others don't have any passions on they have been creating, Cards, Gratitude letters, Needs vs Wants posters and even more. For the Kindness we were doing Kindness Boomerang, Colouring competition, Making sandwiches, and cards, some people even went to Elderly Day Care in Hornby.

Next term I want to go to the Elderly Daycare and help the Elderly and I also want to make some art to bring down to them as that would be an act of Kindness I think, anyways I love being creative and that's why I want to do art next as a passion or in Comunity Impact Projects.

I would like some opinions on what you would do next term for a passion if you chose one or you could choose a Comunity Impact Project idea???
